Vince Gonzales has mentored and taught Chhaya for two years at USC Annenberg. Gonzales has taught and encouraged Nene to learn everything from the fundamentals of good storytelling to investigative reporting.

Chhaya Nene worked side by side with Phil for six months. Nene played a key role in researching, contacting sources, and scheduling interviews for stories like Pothole Payouts, UBER Safety, Earthquake Safety, and Bus Safety.

Chhaya Nene worked alongside Torres on several investigative pieces that sometimes required her to go undercover. Nene transcribed several interviews, contacted and interviewed sources, and logged tape. Nene's work can be seen in the following stories: UBER, Purse Safety, Potholes, Parking Meters, and Earthquake Safety.

Chhaya Nene worked closely with Chris for six months when he was at KNBC in Los Angeles on a number of stories.  Nene played a key role in researching, contacting sources, and scheduling interviews for stories like Pothole Payouts, UBER Safety, Earthquake Safety, and Bus Safety. Nene also created extensive databases for each story in Excel which aided in organization and quicker turn around for stories.

Barbara Pierce

News and Documentary Producer, Adjunct Prof USC Annenberg

Barbara Pierce mentored and taught Chhaya for two years at USC Annenberg. Pierce has seen Chhaya grow from her first package to becoming a reporter for the school's television station ATVN.
