Chhaya is never afraid of a challenge which is something that you'll see as a through-line in her work. Whether it's creating social justice focused mixed medium artwork, being trilingual (English, French, Marathi-a language of West India) or writing and performing in the South Asian version of the Vagina Monologues, she welcomes the adventure.

As a writer/director, Néné's film 'Kurta Pants' received over a dozen awards (including Best Comedy at an Oscar Qualifier in NY). It's been shown in half a dozen countries, and a clip from the film has surpassed 2.5 million views and continues to grow.

Fun facts: She's a wrestler (Greco-Roman), an investigative journalist, the only girl born in half a century in her family. And she was Valedictorian.
